Telly Vision

We won! This week our 2017 Telly Award statuettes arrived—for season one of LIFE ON MAR’S: The Home Makeover Show. Needless to say, we were thrilled and delighted beyond words when we were told we had won, but having the statuettes arrive was extra special.

The Telly Awards were founded in 1979 and are the premiere award honoring outstanding content for TV and cable, digital and streaming, and non-broadcast distribution. These annual awards for excellence (both on-screen and behind-the-scenes) showcase the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. It’s a widely known and highly respected national and international competition, and this year received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and from 5 continents. So of course when we were notified that we won we were beyond excited.

Today, I proudly added my 2017 Telly award to my 2016 Douglas Elliman President Circle award and my Regional & Sectional Figure Skating Medals/awards. Truthfully, the only thing missing in this bunch is that Emmy. You would think with three nominations we would have won already. (That’s the competitor in me talking!) I guess there is always next year, and boy are we working extra hard for that.

I must say it’s rather humbling, as I’m extremely proud looking at these achievements all together. They did not happen over night and each represents passion and dedication. The work was a journey, but the awards are all wonderful validations of personal achievements. Truth be told, each represents doing what I love, and loving what I do. And I will never forget that you’re only as good as your support team, colleagues and coaches/mentors. So I’ll accept these accolades knowing that there are many, people that made these milestones possible.

Thank you to my team, and thank you to you, my dedicated MARtians/fans. My heart is filled with gratitude.
