Telly Award winning reality series nominated for three Emmy® awards offers national audience up-close look at renovation of entire neighborhood
WESTPORT, Conn. September 9, 2017 – S&J Multimedia LLC announced today that the Telly Award-winning and Emmy®-nominated series “Life on Mar’s: The Home Makeover Show” will return for season two on Sunday, September 17th, 2017. The premiere episode airs at 1pm on ABC CT (WTNH 8) exclusively. Created and hosted by Mar Jennings, who is referred to as America’s Top Lifestyle Expert, it is the first complete home makeover series filmed in Connecticut. This second season has a twist: it tracks the renovation and restoration of all the homes on Mar’s very own charming street in downtown Westport, CT—including his own. Episodes follow Jennings’ design direction, humor and signature method while highlighting local resources and his talented team. Homes featured run the design gamut from 1800’s farmhouse to mid-century bungalow to 1990’s stacked colonial. By season’s end the neighborhood is transformed.
Mar Jennings’ home and garden design expertise make him unique in the television arena—both as an on-camera personality and real-world, hands-on designer. The series continues to highlight Jennings’ own ingenious design guidelines within every home. “I’m excited to share my six unique Casual Luxury design principles to even more homes—and clients,” says Jennings. Each episode features a new home; renovations range from restorations to complete additions both indoors and out. Viewers become acquainted with each home’s history, get to know the homeowners, and follow off-site trips for inspiration with Mar and his team. Episodes include Jennings divulging details of the completed transformations and end with a final reveal.
Directed by Emmy®-winning director Christopher Panton and created by Mar Jennings. Season one also aired on ABC’s WTNH and is currently available on AmazonPrime.
