I’m going back to high school this fall – but this time as a teacher, not as a student. That’s right, Westport’s Continuing Education Program is about to get a little bit more MARvellous. Barbara Pitcher, Director of the program, invited me to create and teach two courses for their Fall 2013 roster.
I was delighted to say yes to this honor and was soon working on my innovative and exciting new programs. Fall Into Fall Gardening, November 2, from 9:30-11:30 am. (#260 in the program, for $29.00).
If you’re interested in a three-part series, consider Creating Your Own Four-Season Garden (#261, for $69.00) October 22nd, 29th and November 5th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm each day.
You must be thinking “Garden design?! But it’s Fall!” Exactly! There is a lot you can do now to guarantee that next Spring’s garden will be amazing. Can you think of more than three things? If not, then these are the courses for you!
Learn more about my classes, and the many other wonderful courses available this season, by visiting www.westportcontinuinged.com or by calling 203-341-1209. The Westport Continuing Education Program has been serving the community for over 50 years and is open to all residents and non-residents. Invite a friend, bring a husband or wife, involve a girlfriend or boyfriend, coerce a neighbor, and let’s learn, have some fun and pass it on. There is limited seating, so register early as classes do fill up quickly.
Passionate gardeners and wannabe’s know that it’s a year-round passion. So my MARtians let’s go back to school together. Who knows, maybe – just maybe – these courses might include an opportunity for a private tour of my garden, too.
