Hello, MARtians!
After shooting at Green Isle for over a year now, I have made many friends in the business. I have met so many talented artisans. I have connected with some incredible businesses – all throughout my great state of Connecticut and nearby.
In honor of the incredible talent I have met, it is only fitting that we shoot my next bloopers special at the Lillian August flagship store in Norwalk, CT. (Yes, I said “next bloopers special” – more on that in a bit.) I love this store, mostly because of the aMARzing selection of unique home goods, vintage finds and most importantly, the customer service. Just moments from Green Isle and my home, they have become one of best local resources I could have wished for.
Lillian August is local family business, not a chain. I really love working with locally owned and operated companies. With Lillian August, they know me. They understand when I’m on a timeline and they help me stay in budget. This place is great, and I can count on them to deliver for me, each and every time.
If you’re in town you should know we are shooting at Lillian August this Saturday for episode 10 of Life on Mar’s: The Home Makeover Show. (Episode 10 already, can you believe it?) Yes, this is another bloopers episode; we heard how much you loved our first “Lost in Space” edition of the show, so we are happy to bring you another! You might be wondering “If it’s bloopers, why are you filming?” I’ll be recording my intros and some additional footage. This episode will be airing on March 20th at 1 p.m.Not only will we be featuring the Lillian August design showroom, but we are bringing back our design dilemmas and there will be plenty of fun with the makeover and renovations workers as well as stuff that didn’t make it into the show.
If you’re still looking for more, and I know you are, we will be beginning our next stop in the “Life on Mar’s” journey. Season two is gearing up and it’s going to be more of what you love, but even better! Get ready for the fun to begin as we transform different size and style homes, taking them from disappointing to fabulous. Moreover, I am sure more MARtians will join the “MAR movement” for a total Casual Luxury takeover.
