Champagne cocktail, anyone? Gatsby has returned!

Are you coming to the Party of the year? Join me, my MARtians, and TEAM MAR for this turn back time event; Gatsby’s Return!

The Great Gatsby is the brain-child of F. Scott Fitzgerald, a wonderful American author from the early part of the 1900’s.  He immortalized the flappers of the 1920’s, and inspired artists for decades after. F. Scott Fitzgerald was named after his father’s distant cousin, Francis Scott Key (who wrote The Star Spangled Banner), and F. Scott too became an icon – of the Jazz Age, that singularly American musical style. Fitzgerald is still relevant today: The Great Gatsby touches on very 21st-century themes: idealism, resistance to change, social upheavals and the like. Therefore, we can all understand what Fitzgerald knew; it is very important to keep a center of calm in your life, so matter how wild the parties, and how busy your days! For Fitzgerald, that calm space was writing, for me it’s gardening, for others it’s the beach, cooking or reading (a novel by Fitzgerald, perhaps?) The Great Gatsby is credited for inventing a generation – and guiding that generation through a magical time – the 1920’s and 30’s in America.

Won’t you join us to feel the magic for yourself? The champagne will be flowing, the jazz will be playing and the gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound will provide that calming vista, no matter how wild the party turns of to be!  Find me there, with my production team, capturing the magical moments as they unfold on May 5, 2018, at 7 pm sharp!
