“You like me, you really like me!” No award show sentiment more appropriately sums up how we feel about our recent win than those uttered by Sally Field when she won her Oscar.

So many of you voted, shared the show, and made sure your voices were heard. As a result, new people learned about us and watched–from coast to coast. And we WON! To make that win even sweeter, this was the first year the People’s Telly award was given–meaning that thanks to you we won the inaugural award! The Telly Awards had this to say to us: “After receiving a record-shattering number of entries, which were reviewed by the industry’s most brilliant minds, we are thrilled to recognize your work as the best across the video and television industry!”
Wow, right?
The Telly Awards were founded in 1979 to honor excellence in video and television across all screens. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.
Not content to win the People’s Telly, we were awarded with a triple-play: the GOLD in the People’s Telly, and then a SILVER and a BRONZE in the 2018 Television: General Entertainment category. Three wins is pretty wonderful–and the core team is recognized on each award, too: me, as Host, Christoper Panton as Executive Producer/Director, and Paul Mitchell, our Head Writer. (Anyone else counting along? That means we’ll receive 9 statues!!!)
Given that the Emmy’s are June 2nd, I have to say that this makes me hopeful. But more importantly, this means that YOU like the show. That’s who we make it for, so this truly is the most meaningful of all. My enormous thanks, gratitude and love to all my MARtians.
