Before There Was Fire, There Was Light

Where has the time gone? It seems like yesterday I was telling all my MARtians about sumMAR gardening and dining. As we march swiftly into the chilly weather, I thought I’d share a clever tip of mine with you.

It is really still too warm to start a fire in your fireplace, but it’s not too warm to get the cozy feeling. If you take a peek at my glorious fire here, you might notice something different. It is not real!

The glow you see above is from a string of LED lights, not a crackling fire. These lights are on a battery pack. Even better, I have my lights on a timer. They are set to turn on just as the sun dips below the horizon. I don’t have to tend to a thing.

This is one of my favorite tips for fall. I hope you give it a try at home. If you don’t have a fireplace, consider other clever ways to use strands of LED lights around your home. Show me your ideas by posting to any of my social media channels with the hashtag #LetThereBeLight

UPDATE!!

So many of my MARtians went crazy for this idea, (especially Mary and Amy,) I decided to share my sources with everyone on MAR’s. Thanks guys for loving this post. Those string lights are amazing because they come with timer and battery pack built right in.

Don’t forget to post your results with the hashtag on my social media channels. Lets get inspired together.
