You all came! Wow what an extravaganza and celebration! And thank you Fairfield Police for your hard work helping guests find parking and keeping us all safe!
In case you somehow missed it, I’m talking about the tv reveal filming party we just had at Greystone, the ETHAN ALLEN Designer Show House that wilL be featured in four episodes of the upcoming season 3 of my home makeover show.

As you can imagine, with food and beverages checked I turned my attention to entertainment. But I actually thought about that over a year ago. Let me explain…
It’s never a party without a great TV Movie Screen and sound system and we had both! CONTROL4 Smart Home rocked the house with entertainment that perfectly integrated into the party scene matching the fun atmosphere. I was told by many of you that it was such a fun party because it offered great energy and wonderful people to meet and mingle with, as everyone enjoyed the festivities and excitement we created around the big TV reveal.
That said, The ETHAN ALLEN Designer Show house was quickly tagged as the party of the decade, and the most fun party to be at and of course to be seen at. The Casual Luxury transformation of this home at 3663 Congress Street, Fairfield, CT was the perfect backdrop to accommodate our 200 plus VIP guests.
Truth be told, no party would be complete without great entertainment. That was obvious the moment you arrived, thanks to two marvelous female impersonators welcoming you and greeting you at the door. That’s right, Robin Fierce and Phaedra Phaded, two of CT’s premiere drag performers joined us for the celebration.
No detail was overlooked, including a focus on the right lighting, as I feel this always plays an important part when entertaining.
And being able to set the lights to custom scenes (like Cooking, Dinner, Evening, Party or Movie) was the key to the success of this home and an overall important part of any renovation.
CONTROL4/ Smart Home technology kept the party going and rocking. With the Control4 smart home system I controlled the lights, temperature, TV and music. The Origin Acoustics in-ceiling speakers we tucked away did not compete with the overall design aesthetics of the vaulted ceiling lines and/or lighting. I had a blast playing and selecting rom Pandora, Spotify, SiriusXM and more right from my smartphone app and sometimes right from the wall mounted Control4 touchscreen. But truly that was just to show it off. Did you know this system allows you to control your home from anywhere in the world? Simply use your iPhone and or the Android app. Perfect for my global fans & martians.
Lights, sound and now visuals: I provided entertainment on the Seura Entertainment mirror TV, which offers Netflix, Amazon Prime and so much more, and when it was turned off it amazed people by how seamlessly it became a beautiful mirror above the fireplace.
Guests watched season 1 & 2 on a continuous loop, but of course I was like a kid in a candy store proudly offering to show off the many features and the easy technology.
Clearly this was not just any party it was a celebration of collaborations and the best-of-the-best local resources and partners. I was so proud, the sponsors were elated and the crowd was buzzing with excitement.
