Palm Beach… or Bust!

Palm Beach, here I come!   This week many of us stay home and prepare for one of the biggest holidays of the year. However, I am preparing for a work/pleasure trip to Palm Beach, Florida.  On Monday I’ll jump on a plane and make Palm Beach “Mar Central” for a whole week.   And just in time too, what with all the recent snow accumulations here in Connecticut.

With nothing but sunshine and warm weather forecasted, you can be sure that not only will I enjoy the bountiful beauty of beaches and deluxe accommodations, but grateful for the blessings that thanksgiving has to offer.

Truth be told, I’m no stranger to enjoying Thanksgiving outside my own zip code.  London, Paris, and St. Barth are just a few of the many destinations where I have given thanks.  Not a fan of turkey, when I’m offered a classic American dinner and I quickly respond, “oh no, if I wanted turkey I would have stayed home!”

Blessings come in many ways.  Good health, great friends, a roof over our heads.  I call this feeling “Bless-ful” – I’m blessed and full of things to be grateful.

Did you know that last Tuesday, November 13th was international World Kindness Day?  I love this mission, but I feel rather than a one day of celebration, we should proclaim our gratitude for kindness everyday!

So this Thanksgiving I celebrate my blessings in Palm Beach, but you can be sure I’ll celebrate kindness too, in hopes it become an epidemic!

Happy Thankgiving everyone!
