As a lifestyle expert, I like to inform and inspire people with simple, yet clever, tips that make life and family easy and fun – from gardening to decorating, and from entertaining to fashion. That said, this blog is dedicated to all the wonderful people who visited Rosebrook Gardens last weekend to benefit the Mercy Learning Center. Not only did you help the cause, but you made an indelible MARk on my soul.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing with me and my team that “Rosebrook Gardens” was your favorite. I was honored to be asked to be part of this prestigious Westport garden tour but I was also delighted to hear how this property captured your heart from the moment you arrived. You came in record-breaking numbers but the volunteers awaiting you were true professionals and kept their cool and directed traffic perfectly, always finding me so I could answer your questions, be photographed or share my resources and or design inspiration.
I also took some time to film for theFox show Northeast Living, but that did not take me away from greeting and meeting everyone. Some of you even made return trips: wives returned with their husbands, husbands returned with their wives, gals brought their girlfriends and other friends and family. I loved it!
What meant the most was that you all left Rosebrook Gardens completely understanding what Life on Mar’s is all about. Attainability, friends and family and a casual luxury environment that’s inspired by mother earth.
The gardens where ready, the Mercy volunteers were committed and fun, and my volunteers showed up all in white as instructed, and the weather was spectacular. All in all, it was a perfect day for a garden tour.
